WHAT ARE YOUR OFFICE HOURS?

Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (MST), excluding holidays.  We close for lunch between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.  If you have an urgent problem requiring attention after hours, please call your primary care physician, Alberta Mental Health in Canmore, or your local hospital’s emergency room. Prescription refills are not considered an urgent problem. Dr. Ripperger has two practices: one in Canmore, and another in Oklahoma. He travels to Canada every other week. All phone calls, billing, and insurance claims will be handled entirely through our office in Oklahoma.  Our staff works very hard to bridge the gap in distance by being available for all of your questions. At all times the calls made to the Canmore phone number are forwarded to our Oklahoma office at (405) 579-4111. This means that even if Dr. Ripperger is not in Canmore one week, he and our staff will still be available to you. When Dr. Ripperger is in Canmore, although your calls will still be forwarded to Oklahoma, we are in constant contact with Dr. Ripperger via live internet chat.

APPOINTMENTS:

Please be courteous and give 24 hour’s notice of cancellation if you are unable to attend the scheduled appointment time. Please take note of our office policy: there will be a charge for any missed appointment without 24 hour’s notice of cancellation. This charge will be at the doctor’s discretion, and you will be responsible for the cost, as Alberta Health will not cover this fee. Any outstanding balance must be paid before services can be rendered again. 

 TELEPHONE CALLS:

Our telephone is answered M-TH from 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (MST).  We are closed for lunch from 11:00-12:00 for lunch. At all times the calls made to the Canmore phone number are forwarded to our Oklahoma office at (405) 579-4111. This means that even if Dr. Ripperger is not in Canmore one week, he and our staff will still be available to you. You may leave a message on our answering machine after hours and your call will be returned the next business day.  Calls received on Fridays or weekends will be returned on the following business day.

PRESCRIPTIONS AND REFILLS:

Allow at least 3 days to process prescription renewals. Sometimes requests are filled sooner than this. Have your pharmacy fax a refill request to (405)579-4223, or call us at (403)678-4105. No controlled prescriptions will be replaced if lost, stolen, misplaced, or overused. No prescriptions will be refilled on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays. New symptoms require an appointment. We will not diagnose via phone.
